Lisa Johnson, AOCAD, has been a professional visual artist for over 15 years, since graduating with honours from the painting and drawing program at the Ontario College of Art and Design. Her large-scale oil paintings, while abstract and expressionistic, suggest emotional and almost theatrical scenes. Thick and textured brushwork juxtaposed against layered atmospheric spaces suggest the dramatic skies and spaces of the Canadian landscape -- full of movement and everchanging.
